Great grip, lousy wear
These are the ideal tyres for a Land Rover Freelander 2 - and probably for a 'Discovery Sport'. Off-road, their performance is excellent (or amazing, in mud, too) when new. On-road, their grip in the wet is also excellent. However, they do wear quickly - 20-30,000km - and can wear with 'cupping' which makes them noisy on the highway on hot tar. (Solution: rotate front><back). The trade-off is between 'the best grip, and braking distance' and 'simple wear, and maintenance'. For my car, and my style of driving with some genuine 4WD usage - worth it. If wear is your main criterion - forget it.
