Beaurepaires is a well-known name in the Australian tyre industry, and it has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a small-town tyre shop. Today, it is a national chain with a strong reputation for its exceptional customer service, a large array of tyre choices & customer convenience.

The company was founded by a local Melbournian, Frank Beaurepaire in 1922. Beaurepaire was a talented man, setting world records & representing Australia at the Olympics. Frank was also renowned for rescuing a man from a Shark attack at Coogee Beach, where he was rewarded £500 which he used to start the small tyre shop, Beaurepaires.

Initially, Beaurepaires was a small tyre shop in Melbourne that serviced local customers, however, with Frank’s business acumen, exceptional customer service, and tireless work ethic, the company quickly grew to become the national tyre retailer it is today.

Frank’s dedication to quality & service earned him a reputation as a trusted authority in the automotive industry and was appointed to the board Australian Automobile Association, and later on in life became Lord Mayor of Melbourne for 2 years.

Frank Beaurepaire passed away in 1956. After his passing, Beaurepaires continued to grow and evolve throughout the 20th century. In the 1960s, Beaurepaires opened 18 new branches. This included the installation of modern testing and wheel balancing equipment, as well as new facilities for retreading radial ply tyres. In the 1970s, Beaurepaires grew into a national network of 170 branches, offering complete tyre retreading, repairing, and retail services, as well as ancillary facilities such as front-end alignment, suspension, and brakes.

Today, Beaurepaires is a national retailer with more than 67 metro stores across Australia. It is known for its wide range of high-quality tyres, expert advice, and exceptional customer service. The company continues to live by its founder's legacy by providing exceptional customer service, stocking the best brands, and offering great deals.
