Season-opening of 2021 Supercars Championship

Last weekend the 2021 Supercars Championship kicked off giving us our first look at all the new teams and drivers competing in the Repco Mt Panorama 500. This was the first time the venue has hosted the opening Supercars round and the 29th time that the championship has held an event at the iconic Bathurst circuit. It was fantastic to see fans back across the track – in the grandstands and on the hill !

The Beaurepaires backed Shell V-Power Racing team had mixed results. Anton De Pasquale was unable to finish after hitting The Beaurepaires Cutting whilst Will Davison claimed a podium position in what was a very strong start to his season.

“I’m learning a lot, and that was the aim of the whole weekend, but it’s been a dream debut for me at this team. Now I’ll just keep my head down and focus on going to be better tomorrow.” said Davison.

The race however belonged to one man, Shane Van Gisbergen with the victory delivering Van Gisbergen his third win at the famous Mount Panorama circuit and the 42nd of his career.

With Race 1 done and dusted, as the Official Tyre Retail Partner of the Supercars Championship, Beaurepaires is excited to see what the rest of the 2021 season brings as well as seeing more Beaurepaires presence on and off the track.
